Help me give my students the supplies they need in order to learn this upcoming school year. This includes composition notebooks, scissors, and other items.
Our school is a Title I elementary school in an urban district. We are a high poverty school in which the majority of our students receive free/reduced lunch and come from very diverse homes. I love teaching and most of all love my students. I care so much for them and want them to have the best.
I am concerned that with the impact of the cornavirus pandemic, that most of my students will not start the school year off in August with school supplies.
Many of my student families have been affected financially and will not be able to buy pencils, paper, notebooks, crayons, markers, and glue for their children.
My Project
I am so excited to start a new school year this August with my new second grade class. They will be so anxious and happy to return to school after being home so long this spring and summer break. I have so many engaging and educational lessons and activities to do with them.
I am concerned that most of my students may not be able to afford school supplies this school year.
They need pencils and notebooks to write creative stories. We do lots of hands on projects in science and social studies that require glue, scissors, crayons, and markers. It can be very stressful to the students and myself if a child is not able to fully learn due to a lack of essential tools. Please consider sponsoring my class.
