My Students

My students attend an inner-city school and come from many different backgrounds and neighborhoods. I believe kindergarten is the time to establish a love of learning and school. I strive to do that every day.

My students are twenty-two of the hardest working five-year-olds you will ever meet.

They put one hundred percent effort into everything they do. From learning to read and socialization through play, they give it their all every day. They love to learn new things through explorations and hands-on learning.

My Project

As an inner-city school replacement of furniture is not able to be done as often as we would like. After years of love and learning, furniture and materials often need to be replaced. The chairs we have now are over very old and heavy and when we have to put them up for the room to be cleaned they fall and have started to break.

These chairs will create a comfortable and exciting environment to learn and play!

This grant will allow my students to have some new chairs for learning and play time and replace the ones that have broken. Having a comfortable place to learn, explore, and play is so important for kids' daily classroom and school experience!
