Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 24 students ranging from 6 to 7 years old. As first graders, they are learning the skills to decode new words to enable them to become more fluent readers. They are excited to read and be introduced to new books! My students are growing and learning in the same small community that inspired me to be a teacher. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful career.
My Project
If all of my students had their own individual Seat Sack, they would have more space to keep their daily materials and reading books. Currently, my students have all of their books and writing materials crammed into their desks, making it difficult to take out their books and folders throughout the school day.
Seat Sacks will make accessing materials easier for my students, which in the long run, will save us lots of time throughout our school days!
Seat Sacks will keep the kids more organized too! YAY! Please support Ms. Amalfitano and her amazing First Graders!
