Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds with 100% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is ethnically diverse. They come to school every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can.
No matter how much you choose to give, your donation will impact my students in a positive way; together, we will empowering them, changing their "predicted future."
My Project
Students should be allowed and even encouraged to stand, bounce, shift, twist, and wiggle if needed. It is easy for our students to focus and do their best when they have opportunities to take breaks, play and be rewarded.
The funding of this project will help out in more ways than one.
They will interact with children of all ages and abilities; the main goal is to teach students how to manage their emotions and how to express themselves in a positive way.
This project will also help provide my school with another alternative of Positive Behavior Intervention Incentive. Your donations will teach my students relaxation, coordination, and following directions.
I am asking for a foosball table, basketball game for kids, and a ping pong table. These items, besides being a fun games to play, will promote teamwork, communication, alertness, and basic logic. They will learn about following rules and how to handle losing or winning.
Your donations will help those students that are academically behind to find a motivation to do their best; it will help them in their positive development of cognitive skills which will be reflected in school through their academic performance and in their interactions with others. I truly believe that by teaching them new skills and helping them shape the skills they already have, my students will shine more and obtain better grades and improve their relationships in general.
