Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

There are so many wonderful students that are in need of book bags at our school. Many of our students come to school without school supplies but most importantly a book bag to put their school supplies in. Many of their parents are not able to afford book bags for their children. Our school has an emergency book bag closet for our students that are in dire need of one. They don’t have to be the latest or fanciest but a durable book bag that they will be able to hold their school supplies and Chromebooks.

My Project

The book bags will help the students come to school better prepared with their necessary supplies, textbooks and Chromebooks daily. The book bags will also protect their belongings that they bring to school each day.

In order to keep the students organized and make for easy transitions in the classroom, these book bags are greatly needed for those students that are in great need for them.

Having these book bags will save time by helping the students to move quickly during transition with changing classes!
