This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The pandemic has made living difficult for everyone especially students living in temporary housing. Despite the many challenges they face, my students are creative, determined, and empathetic. In counseling, students use many different resources to guide them in meeting their goals.

As the school counselor, I want to support the social-emotional needs of all my students.

Using different resources and having materials available for every student is a dream I hope to accomplish for them.

Keeping my students safe in the counseling office is also a top priority. The office materials/toys are disinfected after every use.

My Project

The items in this project will go a long way for my students. The new board games will help replace the old ones in the counseling office. The sensory toys/materials are always a hit in the counseling office. Students use these items as a way to calm down when necessary (coping tool).

The cleaning supplies will allow my students to use more materials while maintaining safe against COVID-19 while in the counseling office.

Making sure every item is sanitized after every use does take a toll on the supplies I receive weekly. Receiving these cleaning supplies and soap will help my students and I remain safe.
