My Students

Middle school is a time for students to develop their identities, both scholastically and socially. There are so many ways for students to explore and learn who they are. Through reading, collaborating with peers, and using technology, middle schoolers begin to learn who they are in the world.

My students are curious, innovative, and hardworking and above all else, they want to find inspiration.

By donating to my projects, you will help me create new experiences for them to learn and grow.

My Project

In my middle school Read 180 and GATE ELA classes, we spend time reading independently every day. Being a reader is one of the best predictors of a person's success. Having access to great books is so important for students to determine their identities as readers. It is my goal to keep my classroom library stocked with books that make students excited to read. We are requesting new books for our class library.

Having the ability to choose a great book to read will help my students take ownership of their identities as readers!

The new books that we will receive with this project will help students make positive connections to stories and hopefully help develop lifelong readers.
