The 1303 students of our junior high school represent heritages from all regions of the world. The many cultures and languages at our school are a strong reflection of American multiculturalism. We have dedicated professional educators who provide a demanding curriculum and challenging instructional strategies for all students.
Staff members continually broaden their knowledge and skills by attending conferences, workshops, seminars, and by enrolling in higher education classes and programs.
The staff is continually meeting and collaborating to ensure the highest instruction in each classroom. The TILT (our Instructional Leadership Team) meets regularly for collaboration and curriculum development.
This year the school focus of PLC’s (Professional Learning Communities) is in line with the district commitment for teachers. Teachers are meeting on a weekly basis to look at practices and student work. PLC’s are an ongoing and help teachers serve the needs of all students by reflecting on practices and looking at the data. The assessments drive the teaching.
My Project
Since many of my students do not have access to computers, printers, or internet at home, this classroom printer can be used to print essays, projects, and various forms during the school year.
Even better, with this printers wireless capability, students can remotely print their work without having to leave their desks or even print from other classrooms across campus.
Today, students are unable to print their work while at home, and can only print by emailing their projects to me and having me print them on my personal printer that is only black and white. This printer would be an amazing addition to class and make things so much easier!
