This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students need an outlet to get their energy out. Recess is the perfect time for elementary students to do just that. It is hard when the equipment is old and broken. I made a deal with the students that if they kept the playground cleaned up, we would look at getting new equipment.

My students worked hard making sure to clean up the playground and keep it clean.

Since they took ownership of taking care of our playground, I am creating a project to reward their hard work. We are requesting footballs, basketballs, wiffle ball set, and kickballs.
