This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students and athletes are from SJMS. We are a team that has an average team GPA of 3.2. With your help, we are looking to provide the essentials for our Girls basketball program this year.
"We believe in taking the correct steps necessary in becoming better persons in our schools, homes and community".
Our motto is "strive everyday" which means we are constantly striving to become better at what we love everyday. Basketball is a tool that helps develop revealed character.
My Project
This year is our Girls basketball team will be a part of the first ever season as West Side Middle School. Our county board approved the name change over the summer break from formerly known Confederate General Stonewall Jackson.
Because of the new name all material that was marked Stonewall Jackson will have to be replaced with West side middle school.
This is a hard task that can be accomplished by the help of others and the love that is shared by individuals and corporations. While we rename our school we will remember the generous donations received by wonderful individuals.
