My students are an amazing group of kids in grades Kindergarten-5! We are now in distance learning, but I want to make sure that I am accessible to my students and able to provide them books!
I strive to provide a safe, comfortable environment for these amazing students.
My Project
The library is the heart of the school, and I want to make sure the students see that when they are allowed to return to campus.
Our school is brand new - in the midst of a pandemic - so students are not allowed on campus.
Once they return we need to make sure that they are properly socially distanced from one another. The resources I am looking for in this project will help make sure that the students can still enjoy library time, safely and socially distanced from one another.
Students are going to be required to maintain a six foot distance from one another so getting a rug where they would have to sit side by side is not an option. I am hoping to get the movable seating mats and an easel so students will be able to maintain a safe distance a part but still enjoy story time.
I want to make sure that they come to a place where they feel safe and comfortable. Part of that is to make the library visually pleasing. Right now the walls are bare and I would love to fill them up with posters.
