This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students will be exposed to a love of reading for the first time through this leveled library of just right books.

My school is in California in a high poverty area.

My school is engaging in a balanced approach to literacy. My students are learning to read and to love books. My students need to latch onto a love of reading not only so they will be literate but in order to have a wonderful engaging hobby that will be with them their whole lives.

My Project

I am requesting beginning reader books so my second graders can read books at their independent level during readers workshop. The titles I have selected are extremely engaging to my students. My students love to read Amelia Bedelia and learn idioms.
