My Project

I absolutely love my kids and I am always trying to think of new ways to keep them interested, especially as summer approaches! They love any activities that are hands on where they can get down in the floor and play while they learn!

Special Education can be challenging at times and it helps so much if they can have some fun in my room while they are here!

When learning becomes fun, it does wonders for them and their progress.

I have special education kindergarten through eighth grade so I like to have a variety of different things for them to do. They love new materials for sight words and CVC words. The sight word magnets would be amazing because we can stick them to my desk and they can leave the ones that they get correct on there everyday, and we can work on adding more words to it everyday. They love visuals of their progress! My upper grades have a very hard time with multiplication so with those cards, once we master one set such as 2's, 3's, and so on, I will give them a prize for each set that is mastered. The readers will be great for many of my kids. I do not have many books in my classroom that are on a lower level so these sets would be fun for them and help them build their confidence when reading. The math mystery would be a hit with my students. They love a challenge and having a story behind a math problem is so much more fun than just adding 3+5!!
