Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The majority of my students are from a high poverty area and attend a Title I school with over 90% of students coming from low income families. They love learning and exploring. Students in my class are excited to be in school for the first time, these 3, 4 and 5 year old's need a space to ignite their learning that is adequate for their size and the size of our room.
My students need an updated learning space that will help them bloom.
A space where they explore workstations and move around easily.
My Project
Our tables are too long for our small classroom. We need smaller round tables to help students move freely around our room. Our current tables are too long and are starting to bow in the middle and will soon be unsafe to use.
My students should be able to learn, work and create in a safe flat space that will not cause items to roll to the center.
Learning should not be complicated even more by a table that is uneven. My students deserve a sturdy place to learn and flourish, without having to sit on floor. We need new tables to use as work areas for our class!
