Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is full of my wonderful, creative students whom I love. They are bright and full of potential. My students are a joy to teach and truly want to learn. They are a mixture of all the best aspects of students their age: smart, resourceful, eager, open to new ideas, and willing to take chances.
I cannot say enough good things about them, they inspire me daily.
We are a school of character and my students have tremendous hearts, as well as talent. They do not attend a school with a large art budget. That is why DonorsChoose.org plays such a vital part in our classroom.
My Project
Having an iPad in our classroom would allow the students to create dynamic digital art. The Apple protection plan would help ensure the iPad lasts for years and artists to come.
My classroom has talented artists who are the creative leaders of the future.
There are many features on the iPad that will benefit my students. The camera on the iPad allows for sharp, crisp images for the documentation of artwork, activities and student photography.
Apps such as ProCrete app, the Paper app, Adobe Photoshop sketch, and many others. This new version of the iPad also allows for Apple pencil use.
Our school does not have the budget for a purchase like this, DonorsChoose offers an opportunity for this technology to be in our classroom.
I would love to offer them the opportunity to use an iPad for their art, as I believe exposure to new technology can help influence their futures.
