My Students
My students live and go to school in a high poverty district.
Tablet technology is the new way that students are learning and accessing the Internet in classrooms.
My students are given older tablets that do not always have the latest technology. My students are expected to use iPads to complete much of their classwork and the newest iPad would make that task easier for them to complete. There is no budget money available for teachers to purchase new technology so we do the best we can with what we have.
My Project
My students would benefit immensely from the use of an iPad. With the educational apps available, the books and magazines that can be downloaded, the ability to take the tablet anywhere around the school and into the community, and the capability to visit schools around the world with Face Time video calling, the instructional uses are limitless. My students are very motivated to use technology and using an iPad would definitely catch their attention.

The foundational learning that happens in elementary school is so important, these students deserve the use of most up to date technology. Thank you for your consideration of our project and helping me provide this resource to my students.
