My Students
Many of my students face hardships and endure traumas we would not like to imagine. Many of them require resources and assistance that schools cannot provide. But everyday there is growth, healing, love, learning, and music making anyway.
My students are amazing. They deserve the same access to great music and musical equipment that students in higher-income zip codes have. They deserve the right to express and create. They deserve fun. We have the power to give them these things, so let's do it.
My Project
Right now our classroom does not have enough instruments to meet our needs. We love to play all kinds of songs on all kinds of instruments, and we like taking turns so we can share, play new parts, and discover how different parts work within a song.
Your help will make sure that every students gets to play. While it is fun and necessary to learn using "body percussion," sometimes students do not have enough class time to rotate and play all instrument parts in a song simply because there are not enough instruments. Our students deserve the most out of every class period.
