Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are always eager to learn and love their classroom. I teach at a Title 1 elementary school where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. They come to school so happy no matter what may go on in their lives. With that said, there are many supplies needed for the classroom that they cannot afford to get and I would love to provide those for them.
My classroom consists of fabulous kids who enjoy learning new things and I enjoy providing all that I can for them.
They find a way no matter what the day is like to make me laugh throughout the day.
My Project
Students enjoy coming to school and into a classroom that has all the supplies they need ready to go. Our goal is to have students read more, so more book bins are needed. I want the classroom to also feel welcoming and fun! I think a makeover will make it more inviting and students willing to learn. With that I am requesting cricut to create fun things for the room such a decals, nameplates and much more. I am requesting stools for flexible seating during small group learning. Also a rolling cart will help keep all supplies for lessons in order and organized. I want to be able to have certain supplies on hand in the classroom so that I can use it toward student's lessons. I also would like a pocket chart with folders so each student has a folder to put their graded work or any important papers that need to go home. This will allow it to be kept in a location where the folders won’t get lost. I think these items will be a good addition to the classroom for myself and the students as well. Thank you!
