"It's a great day to be a Wildcat!" This is what we start each day with over the loudspeaker. My Wildcats are celebrating our school’s 25th year of existence! We are a close-knit school who has suffered tragedy over the past few years. We have a mixture of students coming from a varied socioeconomic backgrounds.
This project is to help out the Girls Basketball team (which had a horrible tragedy last year) and Girls Soccer teams (where my own alumni daughter is coaching).
The programs need extra help keeping their heads up and moving forward with new years this season. Both projects were approved by the appropriate coaches who involve many girls in the program (often are no-cut sports).
The Girls soccer team has their first new coach in 11 years. A very successful program that graduated all but 2 of their starters looks to invigorate the program with a new coach and new equipment.
The Soccer goal will help improve the shot-making skills of the players in this no cut sport.
We hope to keep all of the girls engaged at practice with new soccer balls, cones, and a new outlook with new coaches. The school has varied socioeconomic levels and these items will help them look united and improve their outlook as they take the field.
