My students are some of the most caring and simply good-natured students I have ever encountered. Each day I come to my school I am reminded as to why this is my home, and it is because of these students.
My students represent a broad spectrum of different backgrounds and, when challenged, I have found will rise to whatever bar you set before them.
I am proud to be an educator at this school and in this district, due in part because of them.
They have proven to me time and time again that regardless of what challenges they might have in life, whether it be a difficult home situation, disabilities they are working to be successful with, or academic struggles they are seeking to overcome, that they will put forth a solid effort, all they need is a little guidance and support.
Our Cardboard Colosseum boardgame club has been running strong for several years now, and with new players comes the need for some new games.
Seeing the students work together and interact with each other playing these games that foster critical thinking and communication skills has shown how successful this club is.
These new games will continue to expand on the collection of offerings that are designed to fit within the time we have but also b good to bring new people into the board gaming world.
The more games we can find that appeal to all levels of gamers that can be played within an hour and a half the more students we can open the club up too.
