My students need new fiction to meet both curriculum needs as well as to help engage them in recreational reading.

Our high school continues to try to get all students to love reading. Some of our kids are voracious readers, but we must work harder to engage other students with fiction.

Students at our school are often required by English teachers to read one fiction novel per semester. One teacher in particular requires students to explore fiction genres such as mystery, westerns, horror, science fiction, fantasy and romance. We have a good collection but it is aging.

We would love to get a new fiction collection in the library to help us engage our students. This list of materials are in a variety of fiction genres, and many are highly rated by reading experts. Additionally, most of these books have a library binding, which means we get a lifetime guarantee to replace the title for free if the binding breaks.

With your help our students will receive a large number of great new fiction books to choose from. With our harrowing budget cuts coming in the next year, we need your help more than ever before.
