Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a Title I school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet.
Our students are challenged every day in the classroom to think outside their comfort zone.
My Project
With the addition of the equipment on the list will give an opportunity for all students to participate at the same time, rather than waiting for a piece of equipment. This equipment replaces old and broken equipment.
Baseball gloves teach our students what it feels like to catch a ball in a glove.
This also gives them the opportunity to participate on a team. For not all our students have the funds to purchase gloves.
Mini basketballs will help the K-2 students learn how to handle a basketball. Right now they have to use a larger basketball, which is difficult to handle at that age.
