I absolutely love my students. I will be looping up with my first graders, now second graders, for the new school year. I miss their sweet, smiling faces and can’t wait to see them grow physically, socially, and mentally this year!
My Project
With so many unknowns for this school year, I want to make sure that my students get the best of everything to succeed. Whether they are on the other side of a screen or in class, I want them to be able to see what I am presenting to them when I am teaching reading or math material. The document camera and chart pads will help.
Our new reading curriculum suggests 8 journals or binders for each student, and the new math curriculum suggests a binder, as well.
Providing binders for my students will take up less room in the classroom and will take a burden off of my parents to provide them for their second grader. The binders will be easier to sanitize also.
The rekenrek will allow the students to visualize counting on, counting back, and skip counting in math. While the stones will be used for students to retell the story elements of a text in order.
