My students need floor seating for group and individual work. The seat cushions and fidgits will help their busy bodies stay focused. We are in desperate need of manipulative to enhance learning.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This is a brand new classroom that was established two months ago. We are starting from scratch and have students with many needs. All these students have a diagnosis of intellectual disability or Autism.
They have lots of sensory needs and are very busy and curious.
I am also a new teacher who has started out with next to nothing but desks and basic school supplies.
I buy what I can with the few extra dollars I can and scour the thrift stores for toys, puzzles and games. Any help is always appreciated in this room.
My Project
This is a special education classroom started at the end of the school year and desperately in need of supplies to help our students focus and learn. I am also a new teacher without the years of supplies stocked up to provide what we need. We need manipulatives to help us learn and floor seating for group and independent work. The seat cushions and sensory items will help the students stay on task when working independently. We also are in need of book stands and storage cubes for our books and other items we use daily. We have started with only a room, desks and basic supplies so anything will be the greatest help!
