My students need a new, clean carpet that they can sit on and learn. This carpet would fit my students comfortably with plenty of room. The road carpet gives my students a chance to use their imaginations for play.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are awesome. They come to school everyday ready for a day of learning and fun. I want to be able to give them that experience. They soak up so much knowledge and amaze me everyday with how much they love being at school.
We do many engaging and hands on experiences.
I want to give them those experiences.
My students come from an economically deprived area. Our school is awarded a grant for fresh fruits and vegetables. The students get to enjoy fruits and vegetables everyday. Our school also provides free lunch and breakfast.
My Project
The Ottomanson carpet promotes letters for reading. Students can lay on it when reading books. They will sit on it for whole group learning. They need to be able to sit comfortably and have their own space. I let my students sit how they are comfortable instead of all the same way. They focus more on the task at hand when more comfortable.
The Playmate Rug gives my students a chance to be more imaginative when they build their block town.
They can have better imaginative play. They can use better language and work through problem solving when building. This gives them a safe way to express themselves.
