My students produce the four different media at our high school in St. Charles, Mo. There are approximately 50-60 students over two class periods. Additionally, students from my introduction-level journalism classes contribute, Journalism I, Video Journalism and Digital Photojournalism. Our students are from varied backgrounds and help create all the media at our school. I love how much, time, energy and passion they put into their work to cover our school.
All content in our publications is generated and created by my students, with my guidance to make it as good as can be.
Thank you for helping these amazing students out! Your donation is appreciated by the staff of FHC Publications.
My Project
We've had the eight cameras in my room for a good 6-7 years and they're starting to age out. I'd like to improve the quality of what we are able to create with our cameras and that starts with purchasing better cameras.
The Canon 7D Mark II works better in low light situations and takes more images per second.
These will allow us to capture more and better photographs no matter the situation.
In turn, this will allow us to tell the stories of school community more effectively. My students make all of the decisions regarding content in all five of our media, so giving them the best possible tools is important to me and them.
