This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My UIL Calculator team consists of students from across our school. We meet on a weekly basis to prepare for competitions around the Dallas area and the State.

These students have been competitive on a statewide level in the past and need these new calculators, the HP Prime, to remain competitive with other schools that are starting to use them.

The HP Prime has many new features that will allow students to better solve and understand problems they must complete.

My Project

The HP Prime is a new calculator that has added features and abilities - these calculators will help our students compete with other students around the state and will help upgrade our current calculators.

The HP Prime solves many problems significantly faster then our current calculators and having these calculators will allow my students to complete more questions at the competition.

Being able to get further through the test will allow students be be exposed to more content, allowing them to learn how to solve new types of problems. Many of the other top teams in the state are beginning to use these calculators, so we will use these to help our students stay competitive.
