New Bows for Musical Flow: Get My Students Sounding Great!
My students need quality, cost-effective new bows to make a clear and consistent tone. The bow hair is used to play the instruments, and ours are falling apart, with hairs and other pieces coming off. Help!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
If I could describe my students in one word, I would say they are courageous. Many students that you can find are nice or hardworking, but there are times when life gets hard and many would just give up on life or at school or in learning an instrument, but my students don't.
My students go up against so much, but they are a community of fighters, fearless, with the heart to press on and up and out, whether in music, in school or in life in general.
I have students who care for siblings and work jobs to support their families alongside their parents WHILE going to school. I have students struggling with severe chronic physical and emotional pains, with severe hardships they should not have to bear, but they don't complain, and they don't give up. They are resilient. They dream of bigger things and they contribute to the music we make every day.
With ever dwindling resources for music in schools, we need your help to purchase new strings, rosin, shoulder rests and other supplies, so that more students like them can have the chance to experience playing in a well equipped string orchestra.
My Project
These new bows are cost effective and wear very well, being impervious to the effects of weather that wreak havoc on wooden bows. The bow is used by my students to play their instruments, and if the hair of the bow is falling out or too old, it won't produce a good tone when drawn across the strings of the instruments, or won't make a sound at all! Many of our bows have been used every year with almost no maintenance for WAY TOO LONG. They need to be replaced for future generations of music makers! Help us do it!
