My Students

My students are amazing. I've been teaching and/or coaching for over 10 years and I've never been more inspired to help a group of high school students succeed! Our kids are working towards a diploma at a competency based, trauma sensitive high school. Each student is so unique but they share a common experience of overcoming many obstacles on their path toward college and career readiness. Unlike many others faced with similar circumstances they refuse to give up and continue to persevere on their journey towards graduation. I hope that with the right tools my academic and emotional support will help them move on from high school ready to live a happy healthy life!

My Project

A student of mine is in need of a new pair of winter boots and a jacket that will keep him warm this winter. This young man takes public transportation to both school and work in the cold New England winter. As a student he is a pleasure to work with. As a youth organizer and a counselor in training he is working hard to improve his community and the lives of younger students. It would make a great impact on this student if he could get to and from school and work without having to worry about being cold and wet!
