Help me give my students some of their favorite titles and high interest books to read; these series like the Last Kids on Earth are motivators for my reluctant boy readers.
I teach at a small town, rural elementary school that serves some of the best second and third grade kids around. Our school library is an essential resource for my students. Many of my students do not have access to books at their homes.
My students love coming to the library.
Students get excited when they come to the library and see new books. They are always telling me when they think there is a new book coming out in their favorite series.
My Project
This project is really to reach my reluctant readers with high interest book series. Some of my readers only want to read one series. Students get so excited to see that they can continue reading their favorite series when I get the next one.
When students come to the library and they can get their hands on a Dogman by Dav Pilkey, they act like they have found a treasure.
Please help me keep reading alive for these students. Students are so proud when they can say that they have read an entire series of a certain author. Let's keep books in their hands.
