I teach Accounting III Honors at a very high poverty, low income inner-city school in MA.

Just like many other school districts, we are facing a serious budget crisis, and we don't have any funds at all available to purchase new books. The books we have currently are from 1998, and we don't have enough for each student, so they are all forced to share. My students don't come from much, but they do come to class very eager to learn. I want to be able to provide them with the necessary materials they need in order to succeed.

We need 10 copies of "Accounting Principles" by Jerry J. Weygandt, Donald E. Kieso, Paul D. Kimmel and 20 copies of "Wall Street on Trial: A Corrupted State?" by Justin O'Brien. These books will allow my students to expand their horizons and study not only traditional accounting practices and regulations, but also special topics such as corruption stories that have taken place on Wall Street.

Your help will ensure that my student have the necessary materials to learn at their highest ability. The donations you provide will give us the textbooks that we need, which ultimately prepare them for college and more advanced fields in the business field. You will ultimately make it possible for my students to succeed in not only this course, but also college.
