This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Welcome to Pre-K! I teach a wonderful group of 20 4-year-old students. For many, this is the first time they have been outside of their family circle and the first time they have experienced a school setting. This year I want to create as many memorable and educational experiences as possible. At this age, many students learn from hands-on activities. I want to grow and foster a love of learning within my students. This is their foundation and we want it to be solid!
My Project
Books are essential to learning. We begin reading books at a very young age by looking at pictures and turning the page. The books in our classroom have been loved and used for several years. Many of our books are currently falling apart. With these materials, I will be able to provide my students with new books and new stories.
These books will be used daily in our classroom!
Students will have many opportunities to use these books independently and with their peers. It is so important for our little ones to have exposure to print. They are developing a new love for reading! We would appreciate any donations made toward our classroom. -Thank you!
