My Students
This lovely batch of seventh graders are itching for some brand new books and comfortable seating! The titles selected come highly recommended from teachers, librarians, book sellers, and of course... KIDS!
My kids are engaged, excited, and ready to dive into rich, multicultural texts in a comfortable environment!
I'm freshly back from maternity leave, and upon my return I have found my classroom library a tad sparse and my seating non-existent. With your help, I'm looking forward to revamping my collection.
My Project
Independent reading is the cornerstone to great Literacy instruction. Building positive reading habits starts first with access. Access refers to materials, as well as to a quiet and comfortable learning environment.
Having a diverse array of new titles is a vital part of building vocabulary, igniting reading interest, and sparking love and joy for the written word.
I love reading! Every day I set out to share my love and passion with my students. There is nothing quite like a brand new book, and all of our students deserve new texts at the start of a new and exciting school year.
