Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students of FTMS are a diverse group of young people! Many of our students are learning English as a second language and there are native speakers. The one thing all students have in common is that when they visit our library, they are eager to find and read new stories or revisit their favorite books.

My Project

This DonorsChoose project will encourage students to come to the library and check out both old favorites and new exciting books to read! Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Amulet Series are very popular with my students and I know they will be thrilled to be able to check these out as soon as they are put on the shelves. Other books, such as the Sunny Series, will soon become a go-to choice for my middle school readers. Students will also benefit from the games I’ve included on my wish list and they will love playing them during their lunchtime break.
