Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Kindergarten teacher with a room full of energetic, eager to learn students. They come to school every day happy and full of life. They love having new experiences and want to learn more. I have a good mix of native English speakers and English language learners. No matter what language they speak, they all have a hunger for knowledge.
"Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, make this world a beautiful garden." - Dr. Seuss.
For many of my students, Kindergarten is their first experience in school. It is my obligation to provide each student with the very best education, in the safest environment possible. I use many different teaching resources to educate the diverse needs of the students in front of me. I am always looking for the latest and greatest educational materials to push my students to reach their highest potential. They deserve the best, and I am working hard to give them the best.
My Project
We are fast approaching a brand new school year. We need to replenish a few school supplies to get us off to a great start.
Kindergarten students use crayons, paper, and dry erase markers, on a daily basis.
The children love coming to school on their first day and seeing brand new materials for them to use. These materials go quick and I am not sure how many times we will be able to replenish them throughout the school year. The writing paper provides support for students at all levels. The space at the top gives the students an opportunity to tell their story through a picture, and the lines are there for students who are able to tell their story through words. The dry erase markers and flair pens are a fun and different way for students to practice their writing instead of using crayons and pencils all the time. The name plates I have chosen not only give the students support and confidence when writing their names, but also provide a reference to the alphabet when they are writing. Finally, the diplomas are for our celebration at the end of Kindergarten! A certificate to remind the students of how hard they worked all year long.
Please help my students get the materials they deserve for a successful year of learning.
