My students are faced with communication delays and disorders. Improving their communication skills can truly make them more successful in school and in life.
I have 55 fabulous speech and language impaired students who are working to become great communicators.
Unfortunately, they all have some type of communication disorder that interferes with their ability to clearly express their ideas. These disorders include stuttering, articulation and language delays, voice difficulties and Autism.
My Project
After 27 years of being a speech and language pathologist, I truly need to update my materials to continue to motivate my hard working students. There are also so many fantastic materials that have recently been developed to help improve communication skills, I would like my students to have access to them. For the first time in my teaching career my principal has given me a full size classroom and I need a few items to help my students be the best communicators they can be.
I believe strongly that improved communication skills can truly change my students' lives.
They work very hard to overcome their disabilities and would truly benefit from some new and updated materials that are currently available.
