Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a widely diverse group at an urban Waldorf inspired public charter school in the heart of Oakland. This 2-5 grade is an eager bunch with a love for using their creative skills. Many of our students have been schoolmates since they were in TK/Kinder. They have built a solid community together which will make their group projects that much more intense and with deep meaning. For some students this might be their only outlet and way of expressing themselves. This will be a safe space for them to blossom.
My Project
My hope is to bring imagination and creativity to our students at CSCE and for them to be confident in their work. I want to bring real life into the art room and find the beauty in it all. As a new art teacher I am not starting out the school year with much supplies so this donation would help tremendously. I want all of our students to feel supported and to have what they need to grow as young artists! As a community school I am looking forward to creating a year end project for our whole community to enjoy! Thank you in advance for your support.
