New AP Studio Art Course Needs New Studio Art Materials!
My students need art supplies to be prepared and pass the AP Portfolio Exam!
This is our first year as an open enrollment Advanced Placement Studio Art Course! All are welcome to enroll! If you have the credits you need to graduate, join us in making art and working for college credits in this rewarding AP course!
My students are in 9-12 grade at an open enrollment charter school in Louisiana.
Any student that wants to take a challenging college-level studio art course is invited to join! Students range in ability and experience and have signed up to take on additional work for the chance of college credit.
I am requesting funds to ensure my students have the materials required for their success competing on a national scale for AP credit. My students will be challenged with weekly take-home assignments, homework, and coursework over breaks. The supplies from this project will provide students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and learn that hard work pays off, in all areas of their lives.
We are asking for drawing materials, mirrors for self portraits and paint. We always run out of erasers and pencils and last year's need to be replaced! We are also requesting sharpeners, a classroom water color set and colored pencils for our projects. Every student will have the chance to submit a portfolio to the Advanced Placement College Board at the end of the term.
Your assistance to this project will provide my students the tools to do their best in their portfolio work!
This project is so important because the supplies will offer all of my students the opportunity to receive college credit.
I want my students to shine in the AP course and the implementation of this project will provide them with the materials they need to do so.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
