My Students

Over 90% of our students at NPS are eligible for free and reduced price lunch. The students who attend our school deserve the very best opportunity we can provide for them! While they come to school to learn, many also come to be loved and learn social and life skills to succeed as a student and a valuable member of the community. They are amazing little people, striving for greatness! These students are always very appreciative for what is given to them and love to give back in any way they possibly can! Our students simply deserve the best they can get!

My Project

My school is finally starting a LEGO club and we're stocking up! So many of our students love LEGOs and many do not have them at home. Two of my fellow teachers are going to be hosting a LEGO Club after school and I'm hoping to get enough LEGOs to help serve our students in the after school program and for teachers to use in the MakerSpace in our Media Center during the school day. LEGOs are used to teach team-building skills, help students learn to work together, develop cognitive skills and refine key motor skills. Our kindergarten through 2nd grade students excel even more when given the opportunity to learn through play!
