I have at least 6 different languages spoken in my classroom. We spend time building community each day and learning from each other. We focus on having a growth mindset in class.
I teach a diverse group of 31 students who come from a wide variety of backgrounds and have various needs.
They come to school willing and wanting to learn and I am here to help them. We are the definition of a neighborhood school as almost all of my students are able to walk to school and live very close to each other and the school.
I am requesting more books for my classroom and tubs to store the books in. My students this year are devouring books like never before. They have a desire to read all sorts of new children's literature and monitor new releases. They requested more fantasy and realistic fiction to be added to our classroom. My students and are excited to expand our world view through reading.
They also have taken it upon themselves to organize our library to make it easier to navigate.
These tubs were requested by them to help our library. The tubs will help them keep our books safe while organized by genre.
