My Students

I teach kindergarten through eighth-grade physical education and I have 400 students that are part of my classes. My students are excited to learn, move, and enjoy all types of physical activity.

My students are continually developing their fitness level, as well as their appreciation for making healthy choices.

The lessons that my students learn in my classes enable them to live healthy lives in the future, and also to impact others. They are continually working to become amazing leaders that will make a difference in our world. Team building, character education, and responsible decision-making skills are also developed in my classes. My students are always eager to learn and grow.

My Project

I am excited to have the opportunity to continue to learn from experts in physical education from around the country and the world at the SHAPE America National Convention in Tampa, FL.

After 27 years of teaching, I am still very eager to learn and grow because I care about all of my students.

I hope to learn up to date research and best practices in teaching physical education so I can continue to improve my teaching. This will allow me to have an even better impact on my students, as well as other teachers in my area. I will learn teaching ideas and methodology that will help me to be even more effective at impacting young lives in physical education.
