My students need strategy games like Ticket to Ride: First Journey, Catan: Junior, My First Carcassonne, Sushi Go!, Hey, That's My Fish!, and Squirrel! to sharpen their critical thinking skills.
I love my students! The 18 students in my class are kind, curious, and they drive and desire to do their personal best and work hard every single day! In my class, we value respect, hard work, and a strong sense of family. We are a family in my classroom.
My students are amazing and unique in their own way.
My goal is to teach them the skills necessary to become successful in every avenue of their lives from this day forward while smiling, laughing, and learning. We are diverse and excited and ready to learn. This group of gifted Third graders is ready to keep growing and thriving.
My Project
Kids don’t want to play Go Fish or Chutes and Ladders anymore. They want games that will challenge them and get them thinking. Games that are strange and maybe a bit unusual. That is precisely what the games in this project are!
With these board games kids will never be bored again!
These games will get kids strategically thinking about they can create the longest train across the entire United States or Europe with Ticket to ride while still completing their task cards. Or getting as many matching sushi while messing with their opponents in Sushi Go! Working with a teammate to guess Disney inspired codes in Codenames without using the names on the board while developing higher order thinking skills, going on a space adventure with LUPO, and building in Catan.
These are definitely not the games you played when you were a kid and these are not the same kids!
