Help me give my students a hands-on lab experience! When studying the nervous system and all accessory organs, there's no better way than to see it for yourself!
Our school is a small, country school where kids have grown up together since day one! Some consider that an honor; some consider it a curse. A town where everyone knows everyone; this is a town where we accept one another.
"You can't blend in when you were born to stand out!" The Wonder, movie quote.
My classroom mission statement is to "provide a modernized learning environment allowing self-motivated students the opportunity to execute personalized goals while receiving constructive feedback in a timely fashion.”
My Project
Real-world learning experiences for the next generation of health scientists is thriving this year at AISD.
A program promoting real-life problem-solving skills in preparation of pursued degrees and certifications within the Health Science field.
These items will help us meet our standards in the laboratory.
For our nervous system labs, we will be able to dissect the sheep's brain to see all the different lobes and the internal structure.
No way to better compare and label the specimen than to have a model on hand.
The cow eyes will help us identify the correlation between our nervous system and our special senses. The olfactory nerve can be seen on both the brain and eye specimens.
These dissecting tools will also give students the confidence and experience while chasing their dream of a future degree in the medical or first responder field. The importance of taking care of themselves while treating others will also be a main focus.
Within my classroom, students will be engaged together with real-life models and tools learning approaches and techniques that could be life-changing and life-saving!
