Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing, and I am so fortunate to be their teacher! I have the pleasure of working with them every day, and in all subjects. My class is learning to work well together, put forth their best efforts, and love to learn through new experiences.
An inviting classroom full of engaging activities, learning experiences, and welcoming atmosphere helps fuel students' desire to learn.
This year, I enjoyed kicking the year off with a Converse All Star theme. We have had Glow Days, Rock 'n' Roll day, Grinch Week, and today I introduced the American Revolution dressed as Alexander Hamilton!
I am teaching a high level group of students that flourish with an accelerated level of engagement. I love, love, LOVE providing this type of learning culture for my students. It's so rewarding when in return, your students want to be in your class every day. and look forward to the magical moments you create.
My Project
I love welcoming my students to a transformed classroom! No matter what the topic of study, it just brings out the enthusiasm. Room transformations are truly engaging and students love them! I have been able to slowly create them, but there are additional parts and pieces that would enhance the experience!
Finding a main idea can be tricky for kids!
This strategy helps them identify it, and then the black light flashlights make this experience more individual, and ultimately give each child ownership over their reading and annotations. Neon Read On is all the rage in my room, but this would make it a complete HIT!
