I am an art teacher at a middle school in the Bronx. 85% of the students attending my school receive free lunch. I teach 13 classes with approximately 350 students in grades 6-8. The students art room greatly needs a place or system in which their wonderful paintings will be able to dry free of footprints and or sticking to one another. I have tried hanging them with clothes pins on strings of rope but this system is extremely faulty. The strings fall down and paint drips. It is also very diffiult with a classroom of 35 students at any given time to lay them around the classroom. The art classroom would better serve the needs of my budding artists with racks to place the drying paintings safely. It is the most space efficient and safe way to store their artworks while they dry. My 350 art students will confidently know that their wonderful creations will be safely stored until they are ready for exhibition. The racks will help me ensure my students will not be discouraged from making beautiful artworks.
