Help me give my students some decent pencils and a pencil sharpener that actually works. At this time we have to go to the room next door to sharpen pencils.
In my English class we are doing a lot of writing this year. We have broken a pencil sharpener and we are depleting our pencil supply at a fast rate.
My students are from a small rural county in East Tennessee.
Our high school has over 70% of students that qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of my students cannot afford the most basic school supplies. So, yes I’m asking for pencils.
We simply need a few items in my classroom to make it run more smoothly. I promise we will put these items to good use.
My Project
My students literally cannot afford to buy pencils. They often come to school without something to write with. Unfortunately, my students have many emotional and physical needs that are not met. School supplies are the last thing on these teenagers minds. I try to have pencils and paper for my students when they don’t have them. These pencils will hopefully supply my classes for the rest of the school year. I need a rolling chair to literally move from one student to another, this chair will also be used to help students that need extra assistance.
