Need New Necessities

My students need an e-Reader, copy paper, wipes and white out.

My Students

"To myself I am only a child playing on the beach, while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me." Isaac Newton once said. My students will have the opportunity to utilize all the resources that are available to them through the use of an e-Reader.

My students are fourth graders who live in Southern California.

They are resourceful, cooperative, friendly, and eager to do hands-on activities. They will have the opportunity to explore all the resources available to them through the use of an e-Reader, a tool I never had as a student in elementary school.

My Project

Our classroom does not have an e-Reader to use for the students. With a e-Reader, this tool could be moved from group to group, so every team will have an opportunity to utilize this resource. There are so many discoveries that a child can make through utilizing an e-Reader. While working on group projects in social studies, science, health and language arts, my students will have knowledge at their fingertips using an e-Reader. They will be so excited to learn with this sophisticated tool. We can utilize the sanitary wipes to disinfect the readers when passed from student to student. We can also use our paper and white out to summarize what we have read, and eliminate any errors we have made.

I have been teaching at the same school for 20 years.

I have received a Master's Degree to further my knowledge of teaching. I have taught fifth, third, and fourth graders. I know with the help of Donors Choose, I can obtain the materials needed in order to make a difference in the classroom. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to obtain our goals.
