Need Microprocessors for Robots in the Bronx!

My students need these microprocessors in order to program their robots. They are the "brains" of the robots.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title I high school from the South Bronx where 98% of our population are Hispanic and African-American students.

We are always seeking new ways to represent the world beyond our students' neighborhood.

With this in mind, we want to represent more minority students in the STEM fields.

At the end of the school year we finished a year-long NYU robotics program called ITEST (Innovative Technology Experiences with Students and Teachers) with the goal of starting a robotics elective course at our school.

My Project

Here are the robots we are asking for:[Sintron] Arduino Uno R3 Board Starter Kit. We have some Arduino kits but not enough for a larger class.

Our school will start its second year of robotics!

We are looking to do more but need the resources to do so!

Next year we will focus on programming with Arduino in a variety of robots. The materials will make a difference because of the exposure to STEM and possible engineering/programming majors after high school.

Another goal for our robotics class is attract more students and we need the necessary resources for this.
