This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are diverse in every single way. They travel from all over town, from all different walks of life to attend this amazing school. They are united as a family through music, dance, art, and theater. They are learning how to love not only themselves but everyone.
My students deserve the best because they give their best every day.
They are scholars who have high expectations and high demands of themselves. They never settle for less than their best!
My Project
The items in this project are for my students who come to school every day struggling with homelessness. My students need the basics of hygiene products to eliminate barriers to their learning that they have no control over.
Imagine coming to middle school every day and dealing with bullying from peers because you were not able to get ready at your home this morning because you are living in a car.
No one would be ready to learn if this was their reality. Having a toothbrush, face wipe and something to eat will make all the difference in these students day after a terrible night.
