My Students
My students come from diverse backgrounds. They have high expectations for themselves and I hold them to high standards that they are eager to meet. They do not let the fact that we are in a low-income district and facing many challenges due to budget cuts and low funding stop them from achieving their goals.
The challenge of motivating my students to meet goals they think they could never accomplish drives me to work as hard as I can every day.
My students are preforming on various academic levels. Some are above grade level, some are at grade level and some are below grade level. Many students lack the resources at home to help them reach their academic level.
My Project
Students have a difficult time learning when they are hungry. The snacks will help my students stay focused and be more engaged in the classroom. Students eat as early as 10:30AM and by 2:00PM they are hungry again. My students exhibit bad attitudes and poor work ethics when they are hungry. These snacks will provide the energy my students need to stay focused on learning.
These supplies will help my students be organized and ready to learn.
My students need these binders, index cards, and three subject notebooks for taking notes, journaling, and writing across the curriculum. These binders and notebooks will be used daily.
